After yesterday's completely sold-out concert in Riga, the world-famous artist announced the happy news to the fans of his work: on June 3, 2027, he will return to the Xiaomi Arena to once again provide an unforgettable evening of music and a grand show.
Yesterday's concert in Riga became a real music festival. Thousands of spectators sang along, clapped, danced and gave the Maestro and his legendary Johann Strauss Orchestra a standing ovation throughout the evening. The concert was filled with laughter, emotional moments and heartfelt surprises, but at the end of the evening, the entire arena stood up to thank the musicians for the unforgettable performance.
"Latvia has a special place in my heart. The warmth and enthusiasm of your audience was unforgettable. I can't wait to come back and share the joy of music with you all again!" says André Rieu.
With more than 40 million albums sold and more than 700,000 concertgoers a year at more than 80 concerts worldwide, André Rieu is one of today's most successful concert artists. His tours regularly sell out arenas from Santiago to Abu Dhabi, and he will visit Latvia again in the summer of 2027.
In the summer of 2027, the audience will be greeted by a romantic program with opera and musical melodies, film music, beloved classics, traditional songs and, of course, cheerful waltzes. Andre Rieu's unique concerts fascinate not only with excellent music, but also with his humor and charismatic personality. Lavish costumes, spectacular scenography and dazzling lighting effects enchant audiences of all generations.
Few artists have managed to break down the boundaries between classical and popular music as successfully as André Rieu. Together with his 60-piece Johann Strauss orchestra, he combines music, surprises and humor, turning every meeting with the audience into a grand celebration.
"Emotion is key! If a song touches my heart, I know it will touch yours too," says André Rieu.
He has made classical music accessible to millions of people around the world and turned the waltz into an international phenomenon. His concerts are not only a musical, but also a visually impressive experience. André has his own costume workshop, four sets of stage decorations and several collections of instruments that enable concert tours on different continents. A fitness trainer, a doctor and even three chefs travel with the world's largest private orchestra.
André Rieu was born in Maastricht into a musical family. His father was the conductor of the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, and Andre started playing the violin at the age of five. In 1978, he founded his first ensemble - the Maastricht Salon Orchestra, which in 1987 transformed into the Johann Strauss Orchestra - today the largest private orchestra in the world.
More than 22.5 million people follow André Rieu on social networks, and his videos have been viewed more than a billion times on the YouTube platform. As many of his fans say: "André Rieu is not just for one night - he is for life."
