After packed concerts last spring, the owner of the velvety voice Daddy Was A Milkman and the guitarist Gints Smukais are going on a new acoustic tour "Quite Something". Musical meetings in spring blossom will take place in four very special Latvian cities and concert halls - Cēsis, Daugavpils, Jūrmala and Ventspils. Tickets are available for sale in the "Bilešu Serviss" network from 12.00

Daddy Was a Milkman (real name Ignas Pociūnas) and Latvian guitar virtuoso Gints Smukais continue their creative collaboration, which began after the first meeting in Riga. "I was very lucky to get acquainted with an incredibly talented Latvian guitar wizard - Ginta Smukos," says Ignas. In the "Palladium" concert hall, Ignas heard Gint's unique guitar playing style for the first time and was enchanted. Since then, the interaction between the two artists has turned into intimate, melodic concert moments, in which the emotional atmosphere of the songs and excellent guitar playing skills are intertwined.

"I was very lucky to get acquainted with an incredibly talented Latvian guitar virtuoso - Ginta Smuko. He is like a guitar wizard to me. [...] I heard for the first time in the Palladium concert hall how unique he plays his music. I listened to his entire rehearsal without closing my eyes - I was enchanted," shares impressions of Daddy Was A Milkman. The idea of performing his songs in an acoustic format has occupied him for a long time. But there was a lack of an outstanding guitarist who could enthrall the audience for several hours with just one instrument. "Gints can do it, and he does it brilliantly! We discussed the possibility of playing together, and we didn't have to wait long […]" - this is how Ignas tells about the beginnings of creative cooperation.

Musician Gints Smukais describes the meeting: "While talking, we quickly realized that we have very similar views on the processes of music creation and the magic of performing our music, and, in general, we both like guitars very much! He [Daddy Was a Milkman] has long had the idea of creating a duet version of a concert with a guitar. When he heard me play, he took it as a sign - that this is the right time to realize this vision […]!"

The concerts are expected to include songs from Daddy Was A Milkman's album "Quite Something" released in the middle of last year, such favorite compositions as "Breath In", "This Is How I Feel" and "Sleeping Alone", as well as special versions of songs created in arrangements by Gint Smukās.
