Fans of heavy metal are expecting a particularly powerful event in Riga this fall. American industrial metal titans Fear Factory return to Europe with the spectacular Cybernetic Domination Tour, and will perform at the Palladium concert hall on September 3 with a rich line-up of guests. They will be joined on stage by Japanese metalcore band Crystal Lake, Polish extreme metal band Hate and American dark, atmospheric rockers The Nocturnal Affair.

For more than three decades, Fear Factory has been one of the most important and influential bands in heavy music. Band leader, guitarist and co-founder Dino Cazares, along with vocalist Burton C. Bell, created a sound that combines industrial coldness, mechanical precision and extreme metal aggression with a melodic dimension. This unique combination became a source of inspiration for an entire generation, and as Metal Hammer once wrote, "Fear Factory ushered in a whole new direction in metal that still resonates today."

The group was founded in the early 1990s in Los Angeles, at a time when the tension in society and the rapid development of technology created the ground for new ideas. From the very beginning, Fear Factory entwined the relationship between man and technology in their music and aesthetic, creating a bleak, dystopian vision of the future. The precision of Dino Cazares' guitar playing and Bell's contrasting vocals, from brutal growls to melodic lines, begged the question: is this still man-made music or something more? Along with heavy music contemporaries, Fear Factory mentions both Paul McCartney (The Beatles, Wings) and Black Sabbath's albums from the seventies as one of their sources of inspiration, so it is a great compliment when Bill Ward (Black Sabbath's drummer) said in an interview on the VH1 Classic talk show "That Metal Show" that Fear Factory is one of the bands in which he himself would like to play.

One of the band's cornerstones is the Demanufacture album, which, as Kerrang! emphasized, "still sounds as fresh and subversive as it did when it was released." It was followed by such records as "Obsolete", "Digimortal" and "Genexus", while the latest album "Aggression Continuum" marks a new stage in the group's development. According to Cazares himself, this is "the moment when the past transforms into the future" - a logical continuation of the evolution of sound and ideas cultivated over three decades, influenced by line-up changes, including a change of vocalist, with Milo Silvestro taking the place at the microphone, bringing fresh energy and perspective to the Fear Factory sound and concert experience.

Fear Factory's concerts stand out for their vivid intensity, impeccable precision and immersive atmosphere. They are like an unprecedented audiovisual explosive adventure that cannot leave anyone indifferent. The Cybernetic Domination Tour promises an experience that intertwines the band's most popular tracks with their latest material, offering a concert that will appeal to both long-time fans and a new generation of listeners alike.
