Growing up in a large family on the outskirts of Detroit, Jack developed a passion for music at an early age, learning to play the instruments his brothers neglected. First came the drums, then the guitar. Passion for classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Doors, Pink Floyd) and blues determined the future creative path of the young musician.

Leaving the usual underground band experience, Jack founded the duo The White Stripes with his wife at the time, Meg White. The minimalist duo, in which Meg played drums and Jack played all the other instruments from guitars to keys and also sang, got their first recognition with the third studio album "White Blood Cells" (2001). With the next ones - "Elephant" (2003), "Get Behind Me Satan" (2005) and "Icky Thump" (2007) - Jack White confirmed himself as one of the brightest and most recognized personalities of the 21st century. in rock music, especially in the indie and garage rock genres. Simple, even seemingly primitive compositions, arrangements, and performance that fuse garage rock and blues influences, complemented by the pair's mysterious public image and red, white and black design aesthetic, quickly grew the group's popularity among music connoisseurs. However, the composition Seven Nation Army made The White Stripes real stars. Over the years, its chant has become an anthem chanted by fans of almost every team sport. Many may not even know anything about The White Stripes, but the exciting "O-oho-hoo" will be recognized by every stadium or arena visitor from the first seconds.

After The White Stripes, Jack White's creative path went through 2 other groups - The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather (of which he was a co-founder) - until it led to a solo career. Six studio albums have been released as part of it, of which critics especially emphasize the first 2 ("Blunderbuss" (2012) and "Lazaretto" (2014)) and so far the last ("No Name" (2024)).

As already mentioned, Jack White received a total of 12 Grammy awards in 8 different categories and 36 nominations for this award, Rolling Stone magazine twice included him in the list of the world's greatest guitarists, at the end of 2025, Jack and Meg were admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He is also known for his comprehensive musical collaboration. For example, White produced famed country singer Loretta Lynn's Grammy-winning album Van Lear Rose. Also, together with Alicia Keys, he wrote and recorded the title track Another Way to Die for the Bond film "Quantum of Comfort".

Analogue fans must be impressed by the fact that Jack White is a promoter of the recording format and also of the medium (vinyl records): "I like analogue [the format] because it forces you to do. Digital recording gives you all this freedom, all this opportunity to change the sounds you're recording, but it's not the best choice for an artist for the most part. The mechanics will always provide inherent little imperfections, little spots and hisses that will add to the idea with something beautiful, even romantic. A thing done flawlessly and completely without extraneous noises is not what one should strive for!

Jack White also expresses a similar opinion regarding concerts: "If you have to perform according to the book, you have lasers and pyrotechnics, everything has to be exactly in the song, it would be fatal to make a mistake. But what we do when we perform live, I think they are beautiful things. We can even drastically change the essence of the songs." Therefore, every performance of this eccentric talent is unique, unpredictable and therefore worth visiting.
