The Baltic Fashion Federation, organizers of RIGA FASHION WEEK, have announced the visual image of the spring season, which will be implemented in mid-April. This season, the model embodies a collective female image that freely combines romanticism and strictness, tradition and avant-garde.
The style was developed by leading Latvian stylist and artistic director Anatolijs Xenofontovs.
"The image arose out of reflections on how the concept of femininity is transforming today. I was inspired by the aesthetics of the 'new era' - the intersection of high fashion traditions and digital futurism, where classics no longer stand in opposition to experiment, but become its basis," comments Anatoly.
A voluminous white dress with an almost wedding mood occupies a special place in the image - a deliberate reference to the archetype of purity and beginning, created by Latvian designer Anna Gulbe. However, in the interpretation of 2026, it is no longer a symbol of naivety, but a clean canvas for self-expression. Above it is a structured corset as a sign of internal support and shape control. It does not limit but disciplines power. The expressive look of the model Alisa Ontenson enhances the contrasts of the image.
"The central element of the image is a dress in the shade 'Cloud Dancer', which has been officially recognized as the color of the year 2026 according to the Pantone version. The image itself symbolizes the continuity of fashion - its ability to exist at the same time outside of time and in this particular moment. It is constantly changing, but at the same time remains recognisable. Always a bit careless, a bit challenging and very free," adds the recognizable Latvian photographer Polina Viljun, the author of the image.
