At the height of summer, on July 21, Dave Stewart will perform for the first time in the Baltics on the stage of Sigulda's castle ruins with a program of songs by the legendary band Eurythmics.
Without exaggeration, it will be a unique opportunity to finally enjoy the iconic Eurythmics hits from the 80s and 90s: Missionary Man, Thorn in My Side, Love Is a Stranger, Who's That Girl? There Must Be an Angel (Playing With My Heart), Here Comes the Rain Again, The Miracle of Love, I Saved the World Today, Would I Lie to You? Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves and of course Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).
For the implementation of this project, Dave Stewart has created a group of professional musicians and singers. Stewart has chosen the talented Australian singer-songwriter Vanessa Amorosi as the lead singer, while he devotes himself to his usual guitar playing.

The multi-talented, instrumentalist, performer, composer and producer Dave Stewart together with the no less gifted charismatic singer and musician Annie Lennox (Annie Lennox) created the duo Eurythmics in the early 1980s, which created a series of hits that have not lost their freshness even today and are considered iconic at the same time.
Enya, with her androgynous looks and steely vocals, and Dave, with their seductive melodies combined with pounding rhythms, revolutionized the world of pop music, culminating in over 100 million albums sold. Lennox is a charismatically impressive storyteller, while Stewart is a master of turning chords into experiences and melodies into raw emotions.
It is significant that even after each of these creative personalities went on their own musical path, they continued to attract our appreciation both with new quality material and concerts. Dave Stewart is especially prolific, who has developed a successful career as a solo musician and producer outside of Eurythmics, collaborating with greats such as Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Bob Geldof, Jon Bon Jovi, Bryan Ferry, Candy Dalfer, the groups "Shakespeares Sister", "No Doubt" and others.
Although the last concert tour of Eurythmics ended in 1999, many fans of the band continue to wonder about both the creation of new material and possible concerts. Apart from a few more special gatherings (the last of them on November 5, 2022, when Eurythmics' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was celebrated with 3 songs), Enya and Dave have not performed a single large-scale concert in this century.
Dave Stewart, when asked about a possible tour: "Oh no! I'd love to. But you see, Annie's stopped touring and she's said many times that she doesn't want to tour, she doesn't like touring."
“Creating an amazing group of women is my way of paying tribute to my amazing friend and collaborator Annie Lennox,” explains Stewart. That's why everyone who wants to hear the band's classic tunes performed live has the opportunity to visit Dave Stewart's Eurythmics program. Considering the wonderful reviews from those who have already managed to attend one of the concerts on the tour, this seems like a really great solution.
