The legendary Irish boy band Westlife will also perform in Latvia next year as part of its ambitious 25-year anniversary tour. This fall, the group will perform a particularly successful first stage, the tickets for which have already been completely sold out. The tour will continue next summer, and countless fans of the band will be able to relive the emotions and memories of their millennial school days at the concert right here in Xiaomi Arena - on June 12, in Riga.

Tickets on sale from May 15 at 10.00 on the "Bilešu Serviss" network. Members of the Positivus Festival and the FBI Concert Club, as well as Delfi Plus subscribers, will be able to purchase tickets in advance from May 14 at 10.00 using a code that will be sent to registered users.

The group's story began in the late nineties in the Irish city of Sligo, where Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan decided to form their own group after participating in the school musical "Grease". Originally known as 6 as 1 and I.O.YOU, the group changed to Westlife after Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden joined and soon became one of the most popular pop groups in Europe.

Already with their debut single "Swear It Again", the musicians conquered the tops of the British charts, becoming the first boy group in history to have their first three singles debut at number one in the UK chart. The band's winning streak continued, becoming the only act to have their first seven singles reach number one in the UK chart. During their career, the group has received two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards and a World Music Awards, as well as being entered into the Guinness Book of Records four times.

To date, the band has released eleven studio albums and sixteen singles that have reached number one in the UK charts. Their music has been streamed billions of times, while their concert tours have gathered millions of listeners around the world over the years. After a creative hiatus in 2012, Westlife returned to the scene in 2018 with the release of Spectrum, followed by Wild Dreams. Since the reunion, the group has performed more than 200 concerts in 30 countries.

The concert will feature the band's hits such as 'Swear It Again', 'Flying Without Wings' and 'You Raise Me Up', as well as other songs from Westlife's quarter-century repertoire. "This year is special for us as it marks 25 years since we started this incredible journey and it still feels like it's just the beginning. The support from the fans has been phenomenal and to be able to celebrate it with a world tour, new music and an album means a lot to us," said the band members.
