The organizers of Riga Fashion Week have announced the image of the spring RIGA FASHION WEEK, which will take place from April 7 to 10. Continuing to explore the intersections of fashion and technology, the new image embodies both contemporary trends and a futuristic vision of the future. Inspiring designers to use non-traditional recycled materials in their collections, special attention was paid to the textures of the model's dress generated by neural networks.
The author of the image is artificial intelligence artist Darja Presnova, a participant of AI Fashion Week II, whose works were included in the top-20 and presented at the PhotoVogue Festival in Milan.
"Works created by artificial intelligence often look futuristic - with unusual textures and materials that can inspire new ideas. In this project, I wanted to maintain a balance between technology and femininity. The flight of thoughts about the future never loses its relevance, because deep down we are all dreamers, and neural networks allow us to visualize these dreams," says Darja.
Jeļena Strahova, the organizer of Riga Fashion Week, emphasizes that artificial intelligence is becoming not only a tool, but also a full-fledged participant in the creative process: "Today, fashion is increasingly created not only by the hands of designers, but also by applying algorithms. It is not a substitute for traditional artistic expression, but a new stage of its development - human and technology cooperation. This season of Riga Fashion Week shows how artificial intelligence can become a tool for creating new forms of visual art."
Modern technology and subtle elegance are the most important elements in the image of the main model of the new season. The high collar top with structured details is made from materials that are not typical of classic fashion. Soft pastel shades emphasize lightness and sophistication. Straight, blonde hair and natural make-up add a touch of restraint that allows the unusual textures and architectural lines of the outfit to come to the fore.
