On March 28, the German power metal group Primal Fear will perform their first concert in Latvia at Palladium hall in Riga. The band, which has accumulated almost 30 years of experience and released 15 studio albums, will delight the Riga audience with juicy guitar riffs, a galloping rhythm and the powerful vocals of soloist Ralfs Schippers.

The concert program has been compiled in such a way as to introduce both the brightest pieces of the latest album "Domination" The Hunter, Tears of Fire, Destroyer, I Am the Primal Fear, Hallucinations, and to go through the rich catalog of hits accumulated over the years - The End Is Near, Chainbreaker, Metal Is Forever, Seven Seals, King of Madness, Running in the Dust, Nuclear Fire, etc.

Primal Fear was founded in 1997 by Ralfs Schipers (vocals) and Mats Siners (bass guitar, vocals, production), who are already quite experienced in the field of metal music. Previously, Ralph was a vocalist in such groups as Tyran Pace, F.B.I. and in the more familiar Gamma Ray. Matas, on the other hand, has had the group Sinner since 1982, and he has also participated in projects such as Silent Force, Level 10, etc.

The first album released in 1998 ranked 48th in the German album chart, which is one of the highest achievements of a metal band's debut in this country. Since then, a total of 15 studio, 2 national and 2 concert albums have been released. The greatest commercial success was achieved by the ninth album "Unbreakable", which was released in 2012.

When asked about the latest album "Domination", which reached the listeners on September 5, 2025, Mats reveals: "When we arrived at the recording studio, we already had about 25 compositions to choose from. A real luxury problem when we see what ended up in the selection."

And he is really right. From the powerful, fanfare-filled opening track The Hunter and first single Far Away, to the uplifting anthem Tears Of Fire and the epic ballad Eden (featuring special guest Melissa Bonney), 'Domination' proves itself in every way!

Over the years, the lineup of Primal Fear musicians has changed several times, with only the core of Schippers and Sinner remaining unchanged. Currently without them in the band are long-time guitarist Magnus Karlsson and recent additions Talia Bellazetta (guitar) and Andre Hilgers (drums).

“Change often comes uninvited and feels like a setback at first, but sometimes it is exactly what is needed,” comments Ralph. Just like the band's logo phoenix, the band has been able to rise from the ashes more than once to prove that they never left the throne of power metal.

The band members are looking forward to the "Domination" concert tour, which has already started.

Ralf Schippers: "I've never felt so great singing some of the new songs!"

Magnus Carlsson: "I can't wait to get back on stage with Primal Fear! It's going to be an incredible experience! We're going to create something truly special together, both in the studio and live, and I'm so grateful to be able to share this journey with all of you metalheads! Metal is forever!"
