The organizers of the Riga fashion week presented the image of the autumn RIGA FASHION WEEK, which will take place in the second half of October. Digital avatars this season were replaced by a live model who appeared in an extravagant image.
The style was developed by the famous Latvian stylist and fashion expert Сергей Хатанзейский.
"After several seasons, I happily returned to creating images for RIGA FASHION WEEK with an absolutely new team for me. Our goal was to create a fresh, bold and sometimes provocative image that literally comes to life in the frame - the dynamics of the shooting is felt in every movement, the hair flies up, emphasizing the energy and character of the image.
For the shoot, we chose a model from the agency Moon Models - Valeria Lochmele - an absolutely new face and a real rising star in the world of fashion, which perfectly conveys the mood and bold character of the image.
A special place in the project was occupied by things from Tribal Hotel - bold, relevant and unusual, they helped to create a bright, dynamic and memorable image of the upcoming fashion week".
The conceptual basis of the image is inspired by the interaction of light and concrete in the works of sculptor Rachel Whiteread. "In the process of developing the design, I wanted to combine contrasts: cold, silky-blue tones in combination with a deep burgundy varnish create tension, symbolizing the inner dynamics of the new season," comments the designer of the Tribal Hotel brand, Simona Veylande.
This expressive image is a visual manifesto that demonstrates courage, energy and urges not to be afraid of contrasts and to open a new page for the upcoming RFW.
"The resulting photo-frame, in my opinion, personifies a certain lightness, energy. The image literally "screams" that style is when you can choose and set trends yourself, and not blindly follow dictated trends," adds image-photographer Dmitry Pomerantsev.
Make-up artist Santa Rundzane and post-production specialist Yulia Grafeeva also worked on the image.
