A concert by the New Zealand band "Unknown Mortal Orchestra" will take place in Riga. This year, the group has released two albums under the independent record label "Jagjaguwar" and has now also announced a concert tour.

The band's latest album 'IC-02 Bogotá' is part of UMO's instrumental 'IC' series, which previously featured 'IC-02 Hanoi'. The name of the publication is taken from the place where the compositions were created. The band describes it as "background music for some weird party or future night out".

This year also saw the release of the mini-album "Curse", inspired by the Italian horror films of the 70s and 80s. "It's a well-concentrated representation of the cursed era we live in," the concert organizers say of the record. "Boys With The Characteristics of Wolves references Black Sabbath, and the record as a whole offers an unobtrusive soundtrack to the listener's next confrontation with existential emptiness."

Although Unknown Mortal Orchestra belongs to the psychedelic rock genre, the band's sound synthesizes elements of R&B, funk and soul music. In Riga, the group will be heard on March 11, 2026 in the concert hall "Palladium Riga".

Tickets will be available from October 3 at 10.00 in the "Bileš servisa" network. "Positivus" festival and FBI concert club members will be able to buy tickets in advance from October 2 at 10.00
