Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen have been on stage since childhood, and their journey to international pop stardom began at a young age. After winning the Norwegian song contest "Melodi Grand Prix Junior", their song "To Dråper Vann" reached the top 10 of the Norwegian charts, and was soon followed by one of the duo's biggest hits to date, "Elektrisk", which made the twins a real pop sensation across Northern Europe, reaching more than 126 million streams.
The debut album "Hey" quickly won the hearts of listeners and became one of the most successful pop albums in the region in 2015, achieving platinum status in Norway. Its success also launched the first concert tour, which sold out in record time. After this breakthrough, Marcus & Martinus quickly cemented their place in Scandinavian pop music, regularly topping the charts in Norway, Sweden and Finland and performing at festivals and concerts across Europe.
In 2024, Marcus & Martinus represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest with the hit "Unforgettable", which won a high 8th place in the final. The energetic electro-pop track quickly conquered the charts of European radio and streaming platforms, introducing the artists to an even wider international audience. Despite their age, during their career they have collaborated with various international stars, for example, the song "We Are Not The Same" was recorded together with the Canadian hitmaker bbno$.
The duet's hits such as "Unforgettable", "Air" and "The Room", as well as the latest compositions, will be played at the concert in Riga. The duo admits that they are looking forward to meeting the Latvian audience: "We are very excited to bring this energy to you and share both new music and beloved hits. 'The Room' marks the beginning of a new era in our career and we really can't wait to experience it together."
