From April 7 to 10, the spring Riga Fashion Week will take place in Riga, which brings together fashion industry professionals from different parts of the world. This event continues to develop as an international platform open to new words, fresh ideas and cross-cultural dialogue in the fashion industry. This time, six foreign brands are participating in the program, and each of them offers a diverse perspective on modern fashion.
This season, cooperation with the global project "Fashion Scout" has been launched, which reveals the brightest young designers to the world. Thanks to this partnership, the brand BERTH, founded in London by Hong Kong designer Afa Tang, will make its debut at the Riga Fashion Week shows. She will present a collection inspired by the aesthetics of Japan's Retro Showa era for audience evaluation.
"Participating in the Riga Fashion Week is an important step for my brand. We have participated in various projects over eleven years, and this season in Riga will be a new experience and a pleasant challenge for us. The Latvian public has great taste and sense of style - I am very interested in how my collection will be perceived here. The organization of the event is very professional, and I am grateful to the Baltic Fashion Federation for its support and attention to each participant. It is nice to be part of such an event," comments BERTH brand designer Afa Tanga.
Each designer's collection in the Riga Fashion Week program reflects the artist's unique perspective on modern fashion and its trends. Lithuanian brand Rimgailaite Costume incorporates "vintage" knitted tablecloth details into modern silhouettes, preserving the craft traditions. Szczygiel (Poland) creates laconic images from recycled materials, focusing on sustainable design and the play of textures. Ivo Nikkolo (Estonia) focuses on the joy of everyday life. ArtisainT by Lena Lumelsky (Belgium) combines contemporary silhouettes with expressive leather accessories. Novalis (Spain) explores myth, femininity and gender boundaries through artistic clothing created from recycled fabrics. These collections not only reflect stylistic diversity, but also highlight themes of identity, sustainable design and personal freedom.
The international block has already become an integral part of Riga Fashion Week. It brings a diversity of themes, cultural approaches and design solutions to the program, making this event lively, versatile and truly contemporary.
