British rock icons Skunk Anansie will perform at the Palladium concert hall on June 21.
Known for their powerful sound and emotionally charged lyrics, the London-based rock group remains one of the most significant and influential musical acts of today. It will be the group's first performance in Latvia.
It will be possible to buy tickets for the concert at all www.bilesuserviss.lv outlets, starting from February 12, at 11.00 a.m.
The group Skunk Anansie was founded in 1994. It immediately attracted the attention of music lovers with a unique mix of alternative rock, punk rock and metal music, as well as with provocative song themes performed by the charismatic vocalist Skin, becoming one of the most talked about groups and quickly achieving global success. Skin itself defines the group's sound as clit-rock, but Allmusic describes it as a fusion of heavy metal and dark feminism.
The albums 'Paranoid & Sunburnt', 'Stoosh', 'Post Orgasmic Chill' and '25LIVE@25' and their hits 'Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)', 'Selling Jesus', 'Twisted (Everyday Hurts)' and 'Weak' have sold millions worldwide. In 1999, Skunk Anansie headlined Glastonbury.
After an unexpected creative break in the early 2000s, Skunk Anansie triumphantly returned in 2009 with new music and active concert activity. In January of this year, the group released the single "An Artist Is An Artist" and is currently working on creating new songs, which we will probably hear in Riga as well. Of course, the band's biggest hits from previous years will also be played at the concert.
About the upcoming tour, the lead singer of the band Skin says: "We are very happy and excited to go on the road again and do what we love the most - perform in front of the audience with burning hearts."
During the 2025 concert tour in Riga, it will be possible to make sure that Skunk Anansie are still one of the strongest masters of live performance in the world and experience the band's untamed and provocative energy in person.
